It’s been four weeks since I was last able to have immunotherapy. For those of you who have just joined the blog, my liver went to dangerously high levels after my last round. I’ve been on a course of steroids to bring everything back into line. Today’s visit to Weston Park confirmed that I have…
The circle of life…
I haven’t been very active on here lately as I have just been feeling rubbish. But yesterday was a good day and I had a lovely day with Adele and the boys. We had breakfast at the Ivy in Leeds (which was amazing) and then to the cinema to watch the Lion King. Back to…
It’s a good day to have a good day…
After feeling awful for the last week the wife took me to Whitby for some ‘us’ time. We went to the amazing Raithwaite Estate. Sometimes you need to change your surroundings to see clearer again. Thank you to our amazing friends for this gift of a night away❤️. It was the perfect weekend. Spotting inspiration…
Tell it once.
Doing this blog is a sort of therapy for me. It means I don’t have to repeat my story over and over again. It means I can get my feelings out and not bottle them up like I did last time. And hopefully, it also means it can help other people like me. For those…
Cooking is love. Made visible.
A team of chefs and friends of Tim – including Adam Jackson and his brilliant team – pulled out all the stops for a fund-raising dinner, which included auctioning off an incredible piece of chocolate art designed by Ashley McCarthy, named after this blog. Dragging myself out…
Today, I felt like a car crash but I dragged myself out to Skills For Chefs to meet with these amazing chefs – Daniel Clifford, Henrique Sa Pessoa and Tom Aikens. It was an absolute honour and I’m really sorry I had to shoot off.
It’s kicking in…
The steroids are wearing off and Nivolumab is kicking in. I felt like rubbish this morning but managed to have lunch with one of the most influential chefs I’ve had the pleasure of working with @pierovinci @bibis_restaurant. Thank you for a fantastic lunch. Let’s do it again soon. Big love boys!
Immunotherapy: Again.
So I’m back on immunotherapy and now just the one drug Nivolumab also called Opdivo. So what happened last time? Well Nivolumab affects the immune system and it caused inflammation of my liver which can be life threatening. It was so bad it put me in hospital and I’ve been on steroids for the last…
Just to be normal…
We had a great weekend and it is so nice just to be normal and not think about cancer for the whole of Saturday. It was a joy to help celebrate Ted’s second birthday and see our lovely friends.
