The thing you realise is: the world doesn’t stop. You have to go and have treatment, or tests, or injections, or scans – but everything else carries on.
My brother Lyndon is over from Australia so he joined me on my hospital appointments this week.
It takes time so it’s nice to have someone to talk to.
You have all the happiness and then you are back to reality. Monday afternoon. Back at Weston Park.
And – just like that – the boys are back at school. We’ve had an amazing summer. We set ourselves a goal to make amazing memories and that’s what we are trying to achieve every day.
I’m back to hospital.
They are back to school.
The world keeps turning. Everything else carries on.
